This study includes power cables, such as umbilical cables, where the power and control circuits are together. The voltages induced in the control cables are evaluated, depending on the current in the power cables for their different modes of operation.

We perform the simulation and studies of induced stresses including capacitive and inductive couplings and the propagation phenomenon in metal components, for different grounding conditions of the shields and other components, depending on the current present in the cable and the capacitive currents associated with the elevation of electrical potential in these components.
